The Rural Alberta Advantage
Música da semana e banda do ano, pelo menos para mim. Conhecer Rural Alberta foi a melhor coisa em termos musicais que me aconteceu nos últimos tempos. Eles representam o indie rock canadense da melhor maneira possível. É um trio, formado por Paul Banwatt, Amy Cole e Nils Edenloff em 2005. Até o momento, só lançaram um álbum, o Hometowns em 2008.
As letras da banda são fantásticas, geralmente falando sobre cidades natais e corações partidos, sempre de uma maneira cheia de paixão e muito longe de ser exagero ou do melodrama. É o tipo de música que me faz pensar na vida e me deixa com um frio na espinha. Como uma banda tão boa é ainda tão desconhecida?
